Marnie Jackson was born and raised in Rogers, AR. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1996. Upon graduation, she owned and operated a carpet pad recycling business in Oklahoma City. In 1997 she was recognized in The Journal Record’s publication highlighting female entrepreneurs. While attending The Journal Record’s awards ceremony, she was inspired by a speech that Gordona Duca, the award recipient for the Oklahoma Business Women of Year, gave on her real estate career. After hearing her speech, Marnie was inspired to move to Tulsa to start her career with Gordona Duca Realtors, where she was awarded Rookie of the Year.
Marnie met her husband, Aaron, in Tulsa. Both of them were from Rogers and decided that they wanted to make their way back home. Upon returning, she took a brief break from real estate and worked for Rogers Public Schools as a Special Education Teacher. She will always feel linked to Rogers Public Schools and has a great respect for the teachers and administrators working in the school system.
In 2004 the opportunity presented itself to get back into the real estate business and she has been selling real estate ever since. Marnie values relationships over transactions and much of her business comes from repeat clients and referrals. She is so excited to be working at Better Homes and Garden. She will be working with brokers that were great mentors to her in the early years of her real estate career as well as seasoned agents that she couldn’t respect more. She’s so excited with the support and latest marketing strategies that they offer that she can pass on to her clients.
Marnie proudly serves on the Rogers Museum Foundation Board. In her free time, she loves working in her yard, keeping up with the latest sustainable practices, going to the movies and out to eat with her husband and son, Luke. They also enjoy traveling, attending Razorback sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
